She could catch the horse in the pen probably with little effort. The idea of this exercise is to have him approach her when in the field. There's a method of walking the horse down as I have advised Abbi, the wide arc and coming in from behind. From observation when most people decide to walk a horse down is after they have approached directly, the horse turns away and hightails it. I want Abbi's horse to get so it's harder for her to get around behind him because he's keeping both eyes glued on her. When a person enjoys success with this technique that's not to say that in a week or month the horse won't test again. A refresher is all the horse needs and it's likely good for months.
