i would definatly consider gelding him. you might also check into some of the natural horsemanship. some people really like it and its based on gaining respect without getting agressive. just a thought

^^Yep. My warmblood gelding was aggressive when I got him and I've only done Parelli with him and he's doing fantastic.

Hey thanks everybody for replying.. just a little update I bought a whip and Saban is doing a whole heck of a lot better... he does not like the whip and i have yet to whip him but he does not have near as bad of an attitude i am quiet pleased for now!

I'd make sure that he isn't just scared of the whip. Being scared and respecting it are two very different things. I'd make sure he is confident with it and then use it to enforce boundaries if needed.
