high strung mare

Hi, I am new here, I bought a 4 1/2 year old kmsh a couple months ago, she is a little bit of a hot horse. The problem is she can't stand to be away from the others, gets prancy and foolish, but she has a good heart. Any one have any ideas how to work this out of her? Or do you think it is in her for life? Thanks Fred

The reason why she hates being away from other horses is because horses are herd animals and feel their life is in danger when they are alone. She doesn't trust you. You just have to gain her trust, so she feels safe around you, when not around the other horses.
