Ive posted here before and everyone has been helpful. (Im new to horses, this is my very first horse) I know I shouldnt have gotten her (i realized that after the fact) So Im just trying to make the best of it.
P.S. - She's a Belgian Draft 16.1 HH Very stout and sturdy since I've been working her.
I've been lunging her at liberty, in the round pen AND in the large Arena. She is doing great. Following my verbal commands and hand signals.
When standing tied, if she gets spooked, the breaks whatever is holding her to get away from it. She doesnt take off running scared, just snaps the rope, the chain, the latch, whatever she is tied to, jogs away from whatever scared her. She lets me walk right back up to her, catch her and bring her back to the same spot (I tie her to a tree because she kept pulling the ring out of the wash rack)
We used a chain today and scared her on purpose. She needs to learn to stop doing that. So does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can use that she wont be able to break? Maybe 3 or 4 chains? Lol
Thanks in advance for all the help!!!
