how the clinic went with hank hepperly

i took my tn walker mare to a horse clinic last weekedn and she did great!the clinic was an undersaddle clinic helping young or problem horses, well i got her a little while ago and she had a very bad case of worms and she hadnt had the attention she needed because her owner was a horse trader with 14 other horses!she barely knew how to ride other than turning,no backing up,no groundmanners whatsoever!they had to drugf her to get her in the trailer and to "prove" that she was a good horse,i knew what they were doing and i took her in anyways, she is a really good horse now.and she is skinny you can see a little of her ribs and her hips stick out.i havent been able to get her weight back when she came outta the trailer they though i was a horse abuser and she did terrible on the groundwork portion of it,the trainer had to come and work with her himself a lot during the clinic, but as soon as i pulled out the saddle, she stood completly still, she lowered her head to put the bit in,she was a perfectly mannered horse, and she did everything the trainer wanted us to do on her first try,ive been riding her almost evryday now so she has basically been taught to ride well, and then when we were going to trot(in her case gait)she gaited the best there,i had offers to sell her to one of the people who attended the clinic, she has an all natural gait and has bloodlines which almost all of the horses where padded show horses, the next day we did a 8 mile trail ride and we crossed water, the trainer had to get her in because she wasnt going in with me!she was more afraid of the mud than the water,we did good we even seen a blacksnake and a bear and she spooked in place!im really proud of her,my friend was a proffesional photographer so im getting a lot of pics of me and her at the clinic.

Sounds like you had a great time. Good job on taking in a tough case mare and making a great horse out of her. Faith and a good heart are great things to have, seems you have both.
