I wasn't really sure where to put this but I thought I'd share.
I started working for a girl about a month ago. We started training 4 horses, and we're now up to 8. Plus she has her own horses that I sometimes put a ride or two on, and I have my own horse to work with. In total there is 23 horse's at her place. All the trainings been going good! I'm loving working for her and I wish I could do it for the rest of my life, haha. So she's going to be having a baby in june and I thought I'd have to find another job then. But! Now I've decided to keep training horses, not train colts like we are now, but to put miles on ones that have already been started. I'm so glad that I'll have the summer to keep doing this and then go to school in the fall. Then I can take my new knowledge with me and keep training my horse.
We're training 3, 2 year olds and 2 are being ridden and one we just started but found out she's prego but isn't due for a while so we're just taking it slow with her. Then there's 1, 3 year old that we just started today. We have 2, 4 year olds which are both being ridden, one outside the pen and the other ocasionally out cause he's a bit spooky. Then there's a mare that had a foal a little while ago and I've ridden her twice. My boss just bought a thoroughbred and wants to start riding him, he's been ridden before by a local so we're going to start training him to jump. Oh and I forgot about the yearling that we're just halter training.
I've now been starting my horse english and should have pictures of her soon in her nice tack that I'm working off. I've already worked off a pair of nice boots, so all I'll need is an english blanket and a bridle.
I'm thinking that maybe soon I should go for my coaching then I can put out a real name for myself.
Thanks for reading.. its kinda long but I just wanted to share!
