Question Issues with saddle?

I recently bought a new saddle for my appaloosa x welsh but it was way too long for her as she is very short backed. In this saddle she was throwing her head and neck to the side and grabbing the bit, but previously with our old saddle she was working lovely. ( Her teeth have been done ) I have tried other saddles but she still seems to be doing it, now concerned whether its a back problem or out of habit?

It might just be getting used to a new saddle, all of them feel different to a horse. If she is used to the old then a new one just takes some getting used to. I don't know how often you ride in other saddles but that could be the case. I have a mare that bucks every time she gets in a new saddle just because she is not used to it but after about ten minutes or so she settles down and she is the best horse I got. I hope I helped.
