Its been a whole 7 months with Ollie

Im was sitting this morning thinking about all I have accomplished with my little sport horse.

When I first got him he had a very bad reputation for bucking like a bronco and no one would ride him, he broke a trainers arm and then before that fell on someone. Honostly in these almost 8 months I can tell you it was probably most of the riders who were on him who caused this and put that together with him being EXETREMLY GREEN. At that time only 3 months broke and your going to have some bad things happen. He is also very very sensitive. I blame his past owner for alot, she was advised from the Lady (good trainer) who started Ollie to keep him in full training with her nad do lessons so they could keep him learning in a controled safe invoirment. The lady took him home after a week of lessons and that when he started tossin people left and right. She then wouldnt ride him because of this, sending him to a "cowboy" who after week two broke his arm cause he pulled him over on him from the feeling of he might try to buck. Also keep in mind my horse is ONLY 15.1-2 Pretty darn small. So then he couldnt do anything with him from his broken arm so he sent him home nad he went to pasture for about 5-6 weeks with no handling...

So fast forwadr to now, I havea great little horse, who has never bucked with me, or my trainer. Just on the lung line beofre our rides to get his yahoos out and we dont lunge him every time beofre we ride, actually he only gets lunged before his ride on wensdays because he has had 3 days off.

Here is what we have accomplished with him in almot 8 months:

*Solid walk trot and canter

*Turn on the forhand and hind end

* Jumping very solid at 2'3

* Course work in low level jumps

* lateral movements: leg yeilds and shoulder in and haunches in (started that)

* He has been school XC once and was very brave

* His confidance level in himself has improves tremendously

I m just very very happy and cant wait to see where we will be in another almost 8 months from now!
