Just got back from haulin a horse to Clinton Andersons show in Vegas

Hauled her there from Colorado.

Was anybody at the show this weekend ? A friend of ours won a spot in the show to have her pushy, bossy horse in his show. If you were there she was the 6 yo QH mare "Lexi" that got the groundwork and under saddle work. He even brought our friend out in the arena to everyones suprise (including CA's staff) It was very entertaining and really opened our friends eyes to what she has done wrong. It will be televised soon on RFD.

It was a great experiance being "behind the scenes" and knowing how real the hoses problems were, and how real the results of CA's methods worked.

Didnt get much time myself with CA, but talked alot with his "second hand" Megan who does all the backstage readying of the horses. She was very sociable and friendly willing to answer about any question.

I was also Mindys' last show, she is being retired :( I spent alot of time talking to and scratching Mindy and Diez while waiting backstage.

Great Experience !

These are pics of My Rig, My Wife, and Friends horse Lexi with Clintons Rig. And a pic of Clinton with Lexi in the arena.

WOW , that is kinda cool...so what was your overall take on his training.? How was her horse after the training? Were you pleased with what you saw?
Thanks for posting pics!

Horses and children, I often think, have a lot of the good sense there is in the world.

I have been a fan of his methods for several years and used them with great results on our horses starting young before bad habits occoured.

Our friend, Lindas' horse Lexi had originally been trained for the track and tought to run through or ignore the bit and run as fast as she could, never trot or walk. On top of that Linda had spoiled her for 6 years allowing her to literally walk over her and push her out of the way with little consequence. I had my doubts that he could do much in two days with a mare that has had 6 years of habits, but by the time we loaded her in the trailer last night she was very respectful and alot easier to deal with !

Linda says she is committed to keeping up with the methods he taught her, If she does this Mare will be a great horse. If she gets lazy and goes back to her old ways i'm sure the horse will too. Clinton did the hard part and got the old habits out of her, its up to Linda to enforce, maintain and advance on his work.

Very cool!
I have had the opportunity to watch several of his clinics in person and meet him as well.
I love his methods and think he has great concepts that work. I have used them on several horses.
So happy that you all had such a great time...
