Angry Lease & Training rant all in one... ughs.

SO! I haven't honestly posted much since classes started up for me.
I have been working with Khanner, Fairy, & Pepper. Last Wendsday we got ANOTHER horse, for my brother, he is a TB draft cross named D. We haven't ridden him yet. EVER...
I am never going to let that man buy another thing ever again. Bought a 2,000Lb animal unridden, we got there & the girl says well he rears when you use the wrong bit, she can't tell me what he uses. This is sad. I'ma be the one to ride him first, Morgan already told me. Sad sad sad.
I can honestly deal with this, I have a nice seat & I don't take crap. D knows this with just spending feed time with me.

Well the lady also gave Beep (Khanner & Fairy's owner, I lease them) an AQH stallion, can anyone say backyard breeding?!? I can not stand this women.
Come to find out when I get home she has sent me a NOTIFIED letter that if I do not get Khanner & Fairy's shots in the next three weeks she will take them, SHE told me that they had all of there shots, so they would need the annuals in Spring. She is a liar... omg. Nerve racking.
So Morgan called her up told her come get them. She is making excuses to come & get them.
Last week she wanted to take Khanner fox hunting, you can't take a horse to a fox hunter (as in for like a show) with out your coggins, he doesn't have that. She doesn't even know if he could do that, she hasn't stopped by ONCE to see how they are doing.
Nerve racking as crap.

So I'm going out with my boyfriend to watch his soccer game this morning (I should get off & get ready...) & then I guess he is coming home with me. I can not stand this women. Khanner doesn't load well, she doesn't have halters for them (I can tell you she won't touch mine), & well she is crap outa luck if she is looking for help. She isn't getting it from me.

I know how harsh that sounds but for the last month she has been telling me what I should & shouldn't do... when for the 4-5 months I have had him she forgot him. I could have been racing him, she wouldn't have known. Lorshie.
I am stressed out about this. She abused them both & I have nothing that will stop her. I don't believe in Blackmail, but goodness... if I did.

Sorry that its a huge wall, I hope you can understand it. Thanks so much!
Is there any way that I can keep Khanner & Fairy?

Don't help her load them, if she gets frustrated you say she needs to move them. Then offer to buy them cheaply?? Offer her cash on the spot and tell her she never has to bother with them again...

Or say she can visit if she sells them, but then don't let her.

I don't know - this is why I do not lease.

No, you can not keep the horses. You are not the owner of said horses.....no matter what your opinion is of the owner. The only way you could keep them is on a resigned lease, or if you were to purchase them.

If you signed a lease contract (which I hope you did) then I would expect that the horse owner would have to give you notice that she is taking them back, preferably in writing, which it seems that she did. Are you in charge of ALL of their vet bills while they are in your care? If so, then yes, you need to vaccinate them. Get the vets number that the owner took them to see and call them so that you can find out what shots they will need. Maybe there is a set of shots that her horses get every fall that you are not aware of.

Owners do not neccessarily have to come visit their horses while they are away on lease. If the owner had time for them, they would most likely not be leased out. I do not understand why you are so caught up with her not visiting them since you think she abused them before. That doesnt even make sense.

Not sure what going to your bfs soccer game has to do with any of this...???

At my barn we get annual spring shots, and some booster shots are recommended in the fall. Maybe she wants you to get these booster shots? Can you call the horse's vet and ask?

I hope you do have a lease agreement and if you don't I suggest you get one, spelling out who is responsible for what, including when she can ride or come and take her horse for a ride or a hunt. And who is responsible for the horse when it is loaded up for a ride and removed from your care. If you don't have that covered in writing just add an addendum to the original lease agreement and both of you sign it and date it.
As for the owner visiting their horses, I wouldn't expect them to do that very often.

We HAD one... our lease was to end in December. I was supposed to get a months notice on them, but she has them now.
I wasn't around when she was loading up, Morgan said Khanner gave her a fit. I was out for Jesse's soccer game, the game was good, a plus.

VelvetsAB- She would call & ask to come see them, we would agree, she would never show up. Never call back. She made plans but never followed through with them. All she wanted was for Khanner to be trained so he would be worth the $4,000 bucks she wanted for him.
I just think its right for her to tell me that I am going crap wrong when she mentally & physically abused them both.
When we got them she said she would send the vet papers in the mail, she never did. That was my fault for not jumping down her throat then. She swore up & down that she sent them in the mail, all I got was a copy of the lease. She refused to give my the number for their old vet.
My bf's soccer game is what was going to get my off the computer, its why my post was all jumbled together. He is my emotional support. If I hadn't gone with him I most likely would have done something silly.

ANYWHOOZALS-
She came & got them both while I was gone. Wish I had been there to see Khanner before he was loaded up.
