The reason I ask is because they gait, not trot. When they get bumpy, you need to correct it and bring them back into a gait, otherwise they will learn to do a bumpy, uneven "trot" called a pace, and it is not comfy. So make sure if he gets bumpy that you bring him back down to a walk and ask for a gait, don't let him pace. Just some advice
When they are gaiting, it is just awesome, it's like floating on a cloud! When they start pacing, it's like falling from said cloud.
