How long should a lungeing line be? What should the diameter of the round pen be?

Well, a round pen of less than 50 feet diameter is probably too small to get much cantering in. Luneling length of line depends on a lot of things; size of horse and its' famiarily with lunging.

My horse has been lunged a lot before; he's 15.3 hands with a pretty long stride.

The round pen should be 60 ft. And you can go to a tack store and they will have lunge lines there with the right length.
