I'm really new to the horse world and i've only recently got my first horse Nala. I have tried lunging her but when ever i try getting her to circle me she just stops and stands facing me. (i hope that makes sense?)

I'm not sure how to get her to actually go around me so any help would be great (: thanks

You should go onto youtube and check out some videos of how to lunge.

It sounds like you are to far in front of the horse which cues her to stop.

Hope this helps!

Well lunging is really an art and each horse is different to lunge but the methods are essentially the same. You want to have a triangle with your horse. So you're the point of the triangle and her bum and her shoulder are the other 2 corners. Does that make sense? You then want to use your lunge whip to drive her forwards and your voice to control the gaits. Its hard to explain but feel free to ask questions.
