    Lunging Problems

I have a young horse that I am training. Im not looking to lunge him properly however, I would like to teach him to circle around me on a loose line.
He manages to circle anti clockwise, but he will not circle clockwise. This is all done on a longe line. He also pulls slightly rather than the line being slack.

Does anyone have any advice on how I could achieve getting him to longe on his 'bad' side also on a loose line??

I do not have use of a round pen. The closest thing I have to use is one made out of electric fencing, (switched off) but he jumps out of it.

Your horse doesn't like to lunge when you are one his right side (traveling clockwise)? Most people spend more time on their horse's left side, whether it is for grooming, haltering, catching, tacking up, etc. Make a point to alternate which side of the horse you use with everything you do. If your horse is wary of something from his right side, keep practicing on that side until he gets better.

As far as lunging goes, work on body yields from the ground first. Once your horse is comfortable moving away from you from the right side, you can begin to lunge.
