Exclamation Lunging warm up

My mare is 18yo and is in great fitness and health. I have to write a lunging session program for my college work and need to know the amount of time I should spend on a warm up and cool down, bare in mind the session is only 20 minutes long.

PLEASE HELP!

Hello, I am certainly not college level, but this is what I know. My pony is 7 years old and I lunge her quite a bit because she came to me with several lunging problems. I worked with her almost everyday. I started on her good direction which is counter clockwise. My pattern was..walk three circles, trot five circles, canter three circles, trot five circles, walk three circles, and then stop and come in to change sides to clockwise and do the same thing. I would then go back to the good side and do the routine on the good side again, but only if I wasn't impressed with how she did on her bad side. I'm not so great and explaining things, but I hope this makes some sense to you! I would let her cool by hotwalker her for 5-10 minutes. It really depends on the horse in my opinion. Hope it helps! Thank you. I wouldn't use this site as a reference, but good luck in college.
