I'm with Sara, I don't want to have to follow a color trend. It's silly in my opinion. My friend who shows Arabs told me that you probably won't score as high in a hunter class if you are riding in a black saddle because of "tradition." I'm not sure how true that is, though

I tried the brown on him (also seeing if the saddle fit) and it looked really good on him. One of my schooling bridles is black and the other is braided black and brown leather, but mostly brown.
