My horse 2 bits. video of us riding what you think

this is a video of me riding my horse 2 bits he 5 years old. got started late under saddle. but he doing very well. i know im not the best rider but i try. there were a few mouths this year he wasnt ridden at all cuz i had surgey. But for me being pretty much a green ridier i think were doing good. let me know what you think! and any pointers on the lope would be great.

The biggest thing that I'm noticing at the canter is that you aren't following him with your body, which is causing you to pop him in the mouth fairly often and making him slow down.

May I ask why you're wearing spurs if you're a green rider?

sure he wont move without them. he hates the crop he'll try to buck me off. even if someone eles rides by with one he'll buck. so spurs it is. i have a lady helping me with him but im stuborn and want to do it all myself. but thanks for pointing that out for me. ill try and give him more rein. would that help!

You have improved a bunch from the first part of the video to now. He has no problem with his head set, because he is on his forhand, so that's where is head is going to be. He needs to round his back & ribcage and shift his weight to the hind and drive from behind. That will free up his shoulders and he can comfortable lower his neck & reach for the bit. You are also riding him in a very forward manner, think rear, back, ribcage.
