Complete sense mom2pride. Thank you immensely for your advice, will definitely try to ride like this from now on. I know I do have a habit of forgetting to breathe up in the saddle now and then without realising it... will have to work on being more aware of my breathing.

    Great tips :)

    UPDATE:

Our ride did not go well. So we are now dealing with a case of elimination. Rode in our usual spot and she dug her toes in so much. It obviously doesn't take as much to scare me as it would a normal, non nervy rider, but I stayed on her for 20mins, trying to work through. We only walked, I didn't take up a contact, and worked on a few things pointed out over in our critique thread Rider & Horse Critique Please! but sadly we never got far into it with all the backing up and tossing of the head that occurred. Tried to keep her feet moving, but she was being difficult to move, even when I pulled her around and made her do a tight circle. In the end I couldn't feel my leg and she was really telling me "Mum, it hurts".

Gave her a thorough look over, and she actually showed me today since my last check. So am going to get a chiropractor out to her and go from there.

Thank you everyone for your advice again, and I do believe we will be addressing this issue still, just not until I've had a professional out to check her wellbeing :)
