Need help getting my mare to pick up her right lead.

Athena's re-training, going from Western trail horse to working English lesson horse, is going fantastic. The only problem I'm having is getting her to pick up her right lead. She picks her left lead on cue and I've never had a problem it. It's just her right lead she's had a problem with. When I used her just for trails I never really thought about what lead she was when we were cantering down a trail. But once I started working in an arena I noticed we did have a problem. I've been doing what my trainer has told me to, do a lot of bending work to right and ask for her to pick up her canter at a corner and if that doesn't work work her in a circle until she picks it up and if that doesn't work almost run her into the fence, which she usually picks up quickly but I hate doing it that way, I can't do that at a show. If I try to do circles, I'll be stuck in the arena for half the day and with little progress.
Should also add that she picks up her right lead perfectly in the round pen on the ground, but when I ride her in the round it takes time for her to pick it up. I thought maybe it was my balance but I've had other riders on her and it's the same thing. I'm just stuck and at a complete lost and seems every time I ride it's spent trying to get her to pick up that right lead.

And she did have an old injury to her right hind fetlock but I've had a vet check it out and she said that wasn't the problem. I'm thinking maybe she doesn't want to hurt herself again so she doesn't pick up the lead? Idk

I've asked my granddad what to do but him explaining something to me doesn't do anything, I wish I could see what he's talking about cause I honestly don't even know what he was saying half the time.

So does anyone have any tips for me? Any videos from trainers anything that might be able to help me out with this problem? I would to show her again in the spring and she has a nice canter but I'm not even going to do canter classes if she won't pick up her lead on cue.
