I am seeing where everyone is coming from. I AM doing almost alll flatwork. I havent jumped her at all till teh day before the show, and the show.. thats really the only jumping i've done with her since I before I got her.

and thats the only jumping im going to do with her unless its lunging her over jumps.

I believe the next show we go to is just a schooling show next month, and the only classes we are doing is flat classes probably. Its at the same place.

July 25 is a hunter/jumper show and I really do want to show her in that and its a actual show.. but I want to prepare her correctly for that.

"it's my horsey and Im gonna do what I want!!! Waaah!"

That's all I hear. My horse loves to rear, I used to be what seemed like her favorite thing ever. She also likes to crowd you if you have anything noisy or new in your hands to check it out and play. Do I let her do that? No. None of it is in her best interest or mine for the long run. She also likes to jump... But I'm nit going to put her anywhere near a jump because she is unbalanced and she isn't ready and won't be for a very long time. At least I am realistic about it.

Well, if nothing else this thread is helping to affirm my previous theory on the problem with Chance not being Chance at all........

I'm pretty much agreeing with everyone else. I think you are rushing Nova too fast, in more ways than one. She is not that broke, she doesn't know a whole lot, she really hasn't had that much time under saddle when you get right down to it. Yet you are putting performance before foundation just because you want to jump her. Heck I could be showing Arie in Dressage right now but I'm NOT because our foundation isn't ready for competition yet. I'm doing right by him by not putting my goals before my principles.
