"Oh, She's Real Good........Except for _____" Please Share Your Stories!

Hes so good until we walk by a barrel(WE RUN BARRELS FOR CRYIN OUT LOUD) and he spooks and bucks and spins

My horse: He's real good...except he spent a year flipping over in the cart...he's doesn't do that most of the time now (old training issue, now fixed)

OH he's a real good horse...'cept he's got no training, looks like a hippo and foundered...

Yep, that would be the horse I leased last year. He was a real good horse, except for the times when he went full out bronc.

I adore the horse I bought since then... he's a real good horse, except he cribs on EVERYTHING. Every horse has at least one flaw, right?

My favorite and often seen is "___is really good, a champion (pick your favorite discipline) but a little hard to catch (by which they mean we will all spent the next 45 minutes chasing this "champion" all over heck to give it a vaccine or a lameness examination.

Over the years I've come to categorize horses in 1 of 4 groups

1) Near perfect. No "buts". Problems can always happen, but not expected.
2) Common/expected "buts". May test you are the start, be a little herd bound, may need to push by some spooks, etc.
3) Lots of "buts". Seems like every ride is a training session.
4) The "crazy" ones. I'm too old to ride these anymore.

Hmmm He's real good, but he tries to kick your head off every time you ask him to do anything.
- he's real good is coming from the people that spoiled his ass into this.
Yeah, ask them he's a sweet horse. Lol.

Then as for my goofy gelding.
He's just real good till you ask him to canter and you realize you're both on your ass'.
Yeah, we were doing a nice relaxed little canter and he tripped and we both fell lmao. I was like -.-
It only happened once. XD

Ugh I hate that!
Saw an ad recently:
"Free to a very good home, gentle, quiet gelding. Lots of experience in both english and western diciplines. Competed in local schooling shows, always in the ribbons, competes up to the 3'9"
Jumpers. Taught both my kids how to ride. Would make a great show horse for someone wanting to learn of gain more experience."

Sounds good so far...and free!!

1984!!!!??

Rofl, half dead horse? Probably is excellent.

Oh she's really good...except she likes to buck people off....oh and she rolls with you on her back...aaaaand she's a chronic founder in all four feet....might wanna watch that
