    Smile Ottbs

Ok bear with me I'm only 16. I have been riding for 8 years (only seriously riding for 2) own an ex stallion (gelded at six, now he's 12), jumped, did western, and tons of trails + bareback. I'm a full time working student at a barn. (I'm not saying im super advanced, just showing you that I do know what I'm talking about)

I've ridden a very well trained ottb before.

I really want to pursue a career with horses, however I don't just want show horses because I want to "rescue" horses, however I also want to turn my rescued horses into sport horses (if sound, and Im well aware they probably won't be)

My question is have you ever worked with ottbs? What was the experience like, how was it training them, do they make good sport horses, and anything else!

I mostly want to focus on jumping, however I can do first level dressage. (all you dressage riders get the joke)

There is lots of variety in OTTBs. Some sound. Some not.

I hope you can find a trainer to work with. At this stage it doesn't really matter what discipline trainer you work with. Any experience will be beneficial. Have fun on your career path.
