I agree. While there is the largest stable of Appy Gypsy Cobs in the world, quite close to the OP, after seeing lots more pics of this mare, I think she is the product of a light Appy breed, crossed with a possible Gypsy or Gypsy cross. She unfortunately, didn't inherit the huge thick tail from her cob side, but the rat tail from her Appy side.

Regardless, this is a kind and obviously willing girl and one who is dearly loved. Her owner can look forward to many years and lots of fun with this mare.

You've done a fantastic job w/your mare in such a short time. Both your horses are eye catchers. I, too really like your saddle, it looks very comfy.

So after 2 separate little rides in her paddock to figure out the basics of go, stop and turn we took Shoop for her first little hack today and she was amazing! She loved it, followed Moomin quietly behind or lead at the front really confidently. We had traffic go by as well as a few Sunday cyclists. Really really chuffed with her. Anyway here are more than a few pics of her...

I'm becoming very envious of your sweet girl and the lovely rides through the English countryside.

We've been out on a couple of hacks since this but here is a video of Shoop and I on our first little ride around the paddock with no leadrope...

The pic below is of Shoop on her 1st solo ride out without Moomin. She had a bit of a tantrum at the beginning of the ride when she could hear Moomin calling her. She turned around and had a little strop but I stayed calm and firmly asked her to walk on and she turned back round the right way and we went on an amazing little ride. Really pleased with her.

This is a link to a short video of her on her first solo hack...
