    Well, I can see that working for tim...but of course you shouldn't be riding or lunging at his age...

    I definitely think firm, consistant reminders are the best way to go.

    My horses paw when impatient or the paint paws because of excitement when I give her grain (verry taaasty... :) ). I say "no", if she continues I tap on leg. Usually it's enough to stop.

    Ya I think that's what I am going to do. He responds pretty well if I am firm with him.
