Rescued a horse, and looking into training

Hello Everyone,
I had no plans on getting another horse, I was very happy with Rhiszo and my pregnant mare Eclipse, of which is due beginning of July 2010. I seen this little guy and he was suppose to go to the meat factory because there is a lot of people giving up their horses here in the Atlantic Canada Region, even from the states there is a lot of horses coming up here sadly to the slaughter house. The first night I had him he didn't know how to lead or anything, and now he does, and I rubbed him down all over. Its hard to tell what breed he is, he was sold in auction from what I hear as a pony mix, which I think may be accurate but I hope that he does get up to be about 14.2hh at least!! What do you guys think he may mature at, he is only a yearling right now, string tested him and shows he's going to be about 14hh. I have yet to go about training him, I trained a 2 year old, and now I guess I have to be ready for the next step up!! I know that its very different ball field, but Rhiszo was the last rescue. Here's Wrangler!!!! I find that he has really nice confirmation for not knowing what breed he is, he' s cute, though found out he does indeed have a package coming! (manlyness)

Oh, I just rescued some mystery ponies too! Yours is cute... no idea about the breeding, sorry :( but at least as a yearling you can influence his attitude no matter what!

I have no clue what he could be, but I just wanted to congratulate you for saving him from the meat market. That was a wonderful thing to do and it makes me very happy to see other people that care :) I wish you the best of luck in training him, he is a cutie!
