Deep sigh.....I wrote a post and it vanished. Won't bother to try and rewrite it, but the gist is this.
Smrobs , very good point. I suppose because mine are out grazing in all sorts of weather, they have "desensitized" themselves to it. When under saddle and weather changes, it's just par for the course. I break out rain gear, and continue on. I don't get nervous and I believe they "feel" that about me. While I am fortunate that they both are calm and what I often refer to as "sane", we have ridden many miles putting this into practice . I consider myself very fortunate to have these horses.
