    Riding by the road

I have my horse who is broke-ish (we still got somethings to work on lol) she is 7. I normally ride her in an open field but i'm moving her and the only place to really ride her will be by the road. Lots of people ride their horses on this path by the road. I have never rode her by the road and as far as I know she hasn't ever been rode by the road before. We have drove trucks and tractors right next to her in her pasture (feeding her and putting hay out or checking the fence) I was wondering if their was anyway to get her used to being rode by the road. I was thinking about just saddling her up and walking her on the path by the road that we would be riding on. Do you think that would be a good idea? Thanks for the advice!

I like to trail walk horses before trail riding. It is actually kind of fun.

Just be careful by the road, not necessarily because of your horse's reaction, but the rudeness of drivers.
