I feel like I just witnessed my childs first big accomplishment!!! I should start a scrapbook! Ok ok. I'll calm down a teeny bit. When I went to pick up Wooty after I bought her it took us an HOUR AND A HALF to load her into the 2 horse straight load trailer we had. Well today I decided to work on her trailer issues. But we start small right? So I chose the 40 ft stock trailer (the only one we use as the 2 horse is my friends). Wooty did not wanna go in :( so I gave her encouragement (small light jerks on the halter) and everytime she gave she rested. Soon (after some rears and head throwing and backing away) she put her foot in!!! YAY! And the next try was her whole body!!!! YAY! She got lots of love and scritches and kisses. We unload and did it about 6 more times. Now the big challenge was the small one horse we have. (it's actually a 2 cow/one horse) we don't use it ever, but smaller space = more challenge. She loaded in that one after about the 4th try. I'm so proud. And I discovered after I decided to jump on her bareback with the lead rope that I can ride her in and outta the stock trailer with no hesitation! Sorry about the novel here. I'm just super excited.
