Before I say anything, firstly, did you video tape this/witness this?

I was kind of really worried for her when she didn't try and get up on her own...

I do not think it is a case of 'silly girl' as 'stupid owner'
She was tied far to long. The crush is pathetically flimsy and the fact that it is there tells me that no one there knows how to train a horse because the only time a crush should be used is for veterinary examinations.

Personally I would say she is anything but silly to stay down and wait for the numpty owner to let her out.

That was painful to watch tbh and I sure hope that mare is ok. IMO there was nothing silly about that as she could have seriously hurt herself. Smh

Holy.... Eff.

Blame does not just fall to the owner. You were there and not doing anything to prevent this horse from being hurt. That horse (and owner) are EXTREMELY lucky she didn't injure herself worse than what she did - probably some sore muscles at least.
Why did nobody think "huh, she's kinda fidgeting and looking agitated, maybe we should do something"?! I saw everything there coming a mile away - why the hell was she in there, not tied properly to boot, in the first place?
That squeeze chute is crappy as is, but holy crap everything there was preventable. Everything. I hope you and the other gal learned an important lesson.

I don't get why you filmed this and decided to post this here? How irresponsible. Even if the horse isn't yours, standing there as a bystander when you can see the horse's clearly distressed and not help, I really don't understand that logic. At least when it started occurring, why you just filmed and didn't get over there to settle the horse, I just... it mind boggles me that people let animals freak out when it could all be prevented. It's bad enough the horse was left in there alone!

Looks like you're not going to get much good press here, again I do wonder why you posted this....

I feel very sick right now and I do hope the horse wasn't injured from this.

I'm new to horses and all things regarding them.. but this video is everything but funny. That poor horse.. Looked so upset and distressed and to have the owner/other people just stand idley by and do nothing to help it? It's sickening.
As soon as the horse started getting agitated I wanted to put a stop to it.
I really do hope there was no serious damage done to the horse and that this doesn't happen again.

Are people really this dumb?? What a wreck and why would you just stand back and film that? And then think its a good idea to post it online?

Oh that silly mare and her antics. Isn't is cute?! Why no, a terrified horse on concrete is never funny. What idiots, you included OP. This could have EASILY have been a "Like OMG guess ehat happened to.my friend's horse! She, like, died and stuff." post. Your friend and you for videoing are the reason intelligent, caring horse owners are so frustrated all the time.
