    Makes sense. I just was a bit iffy about using the martengale too much because I handt really used one before, so I used it for as little time as possible on her, just so I didn't over-use it, I guess...

    I try and be as light handed as the horse allows me to be. It's kind of my motto. If a horse is being heavy on my hand, I'll give it a couple chances, then give them a little bit of a talking to (if you know what I mean) and start over. Which is why me and this horse had such a looong a frustrating time... she wouldn't get it for a looong time.

    I'll keep the suppling exercises in mind :)

    She's really compact and nice. I like that she has a lot of go. But I think you're doing a great job!
