Talking So excited for my Mare!!!

Hey all,
If some of you remember....the gal I had working with my mare fell ill. I ended up deciding to send my mare out for some training.
She left on Thursday last week.

My gal at my barn is well enough at the moment to give lesson only so I am doing that for now.

I spoke with the guy (trainer) whom I sent my mare off to. He told me he rode her for the first time yesterday!!!!!! Yay!!!
He said she was very good. No bucking or anything. He said she only got a bit spooky near the cows, but that on top of the spooky she did not get "Stupid"!!
He said she has a good mind about her and he is excited because she is going to be an awesome mare for me!!!!

I got the drving directions from him and will go up and see her tomorrow before I leave out of town for 3 days. I will take photos and video, but I am still in the process of learning how to make vids! lol
A project I am going to work on while out of college for the next month!
So...I cannot even express to you how totally excited I am for her... and me too.

One thing I did years ago when re-training horses from the track was to get them going with the basics of dressage. Able to do a simple training level test nicely. I also started them over crossrails, got them acclimated with trails and a bunch of other fun things.

When I told my dressage instructor I also wanted to take her in some hunter Eq classes, I got the sense she thought I did not understand the differences!

I want Candi to eventually be able to do both. I suspect we would be ready for some flat hunter classes before the dressage tests, and thus would like to possibly take her to some local shows with another gal at my barn.
Do you all see an issue with this? I have never had an issue in the past when doing this years ago!

Also...I would like the trainer she is with now to keep her long enough to get her started over some cross rails.
My plans with her are to be able to ride dressage, and do hunters and later....beginer/novice eventing if I feel up to it ...way later down the road for that tho.

Anyhow...I will post some photo's after the visit tomorrow as long as there is a decent place to take them.

I am so darn excited I cannot contain myself! "insert a happy dance"

What I really like is when trainers make a training journal for the owners, explaining what they did, how the horse reacted ect.

Hunter are you going to be able to watch your horse with the trainer?
My girl is about 60 miles from my home.
I am so excited because today is the day!!!!
I am taking a lesson at noon and then heading up after the lesson. By then he said he will be able to work her for me....
