    Some advice please

Hi, I;m going to post this here, if its the wrong place, please let me know.About two weeks ago, we took in a couple of rescuse horses, a mare and her colt,(no for much longer, vet is set to come take care of that situatiuon next week!)We ( the vet and I) think the mare is around 14, the colt 18 months. These two are coming along great, slowly but surely learnig to trust me,putting on weight etc. The bad part, our other mare,Dolly,5 yrs old, has TOTALLY lost everything she has ever learned! Used to follow me around worse than the dogs, see from across the pasture come running. Ground work, going good. Now, she sees me and herds the other two out back, totally ignores me, just down right hard headed about anything I ask her to do.When the other mare, Kitty, sees me, she tries to come ,but Dolly wont allow it,course the colt,Festus, goes where mom goes. When the farrier was out, we decided to do Festus first, you know, do the hard one first, and he was an angel, not one ounce of trouble. Kitty the same, Dolly-NEVER had her feet done before!! She's really getting to show me a side I,ve never seen. Should I seperate them, start out all over from the beginning with Dolly, or give her some more time to remember? Any and all answers are much appreciated.

Seperate them & start all over again with Dolly... desensitizing, ground work, etc. REALLY show her your in control & the dominant leader. She'll learn to respect you if you show her that you can control where she goes & how she does it.
