Most likely if that's the case Id stop riding her in the winter or Id ride less or just do less work in the winter, who knows.

I can't remember if you have said, but have you had her hormones checked?

I would say, just do what most people who have super snowy winters do and work on ground work, tricks, whatever during the winter and then focus on the riding during the other three seasons. That's what I've been doing, I've taken three months off almost from riding and plan on getting back into it probably next month when I get my new saddle. We've worked on lunging him calmly on a line (no pulling or turning in), ground tying, tying in general, manners, and other little ground work things. Over all, taking a step back and investing extra time in him has REALLY paid off, the BO commented the other day about how much calmer and more focused he was.

JSB- that's what I was thinking about doing for next winter if everything turns out clear. This winters been funny anyways because usually we get like 9 ft a snow in 1 winter. And this years been basically none but the temps have been going up and down like mad so that might be some of the problem.
