actually I have really been working on that, Lots of ground work Needs to be done and I know that, as well as she has no respect for me...She has not been handled in a year and I have only had a week to attempt in making a difference. I am not going to even try to jump on her back until I know that she has a lot more respect for me.

You were not butting in, and please Post some more!!

Don (the barn owner) came out and really helped me today. He gave me a rope halter and lead rope for her personally and gave it to me as long as I am his personal groomer... I am already everybodys groomer.....Anyway, we really worked on leading and driving and Don says as long as she leads well tomorrow then I should start lunging her. We will see how things go.

you need to put a rope halter on your horse take him/her in a menage. Practice walking around the menage asking him to stand every couple of paces. then try in trot to stand. Everytime your horse stands give pat and say good boy. Do this everyday for 30mins its garanteed to work!
