Things we thought were cute.....

I won my horse Stitch when I was 13 and he was a 5 month old weanling. Wanting to spend time bonding with him and having fun together in our long ways to riding I thought it was cute to teach him tricks and other little things. Have you ever thought something would b cute to have your horse do and later you realized it wasnt cute anymore?!

Things I did with Stitch.....
1. I thought it would be cute to teach him how to drink from a bottle/can......... not so cute if you want to set any drink down around him now he will snatch it an drink it!

2. I thought it was so cute to play tag with him when he wasnt any bigger then large dog, we would runa rounf the arena and I would touch him and turn and rn and he would tap my back and it was just sssoooo cute...................until he got too big and a tap (not trying to hurt me in any way) was too string and would knock me flat on my butt.

3. I thought it was cute the way he followed me around everywhere...... while still useful if I want to walk out of the pen or pasture by my self, he insissts that I need his protection.

What have you done with your horse?

You brought back a real funny memory for me. The barn that I used to volunter at had a mare come in one day. The owners had raised her since she was a foal and did all kinds of "neat" things with her.

Well , the BO asked me to put her in the round pen and move her a bit to see how she looked. Picture this, I ask her to move off and Wham! In 2 seconds flat , this calm mare went from calm to steam roller coming at me 100 miles per hour and not stopping. I just cleared the round pen rails!

Owners then laughed and said, "Oh yeah, we taught her to come at us when she was little, and we'd wrestle her to the ground."

My girlfriends horse will "shake" if you kiss at it and say shake he will lift up his front feet.

He also prefers cat food over sweet feed and likes pizza haha

The more your horse trust you. The more you can teach your horse
