Same as you would in the school Hacking alone is great for encouraging forward thinking in the horse, and a good bond between horse and rider.

So circles, halts, transitions, shortening and lengthening of stride and leg yields are all good stuff. Also asking your horse to stretch, and to work in an outline for brief periods are all good for training.
