training for the EXCA

I have a 3yr filly that I'm training for the EXCA (Extreme Cowboy Race) that we plan on running next year (just to run it, not to win the first year). So far she is doing great and will not get bugged by anything I face her at. We can go up or down the steepest hills, litterally through bushes and tree's, small jumps and she doesn't spook at anything even when we try. She is placing nicely in gymkhanas and I don't push her at all.

Does anyone have other stuff we could work on to prepare her for the EXCA and other stuff that may come in handy just to know, or even just fun stuff. We do lots of that, including we have rode through a busy drive thru and picked up food . Please include tips on training too. Thanks!! :)

Just see if you can't get some different obstacles up--teeter totters, bridges, crossing waters, pool noodles, etc. And work on things like sidepassing and flying lead changes.

We have teamed up with 14-17 well known trainers who have good sized yards with runners over the sticks, on the flat and all weather. They will give us their thoughts on their runners every day which we will publish to our subscribers at 11am on the day of the race.
