Shawn Flarida is doing a video lesson each month for members to his site. I would not say it is to replace a trainer and lessons but will give good incite as to how these trainers get the results they get and the ideas behind them. I am definitely thinking about doing the one with Shawn.
That's interesting.. I figure you probably video tape you and your horse and send it to him, correct? Then he sends you a video back? We're all probably laughing it up now and watch it become a big hit ..
I think its a great idea, and will most likely become a very popular thing over time. You can work with some of the best trainers in the nation this way. I really like Shawn's idea, how much is he charging for that?
Just to clarify, I have nothing wrong with videotaping and sending it to the trainer (given you have a camera to do that and you know the trainer, not someone you never heard of harassing your email account). I'm sure it's a better alternative to no trainer at all, or just using tapes made by someone.
But live trainer is live trainer. He'll catch what you are doing wrong right on spot, he can show you how to hold your hand, your back, your legs (or even position them), trainer can get on your horse and try stuff, and overall video (unless done very professionally) doesn't give a full picture of what you/horse do.
