Trick Training - tips please? :)

Ive been teaching Charlie to bow today, and he got the hang of it pretty quickly.
Only he refused to do it when anyone was watching haha stage fright maybe?

Basically I just wanted to know some easy tricks to teach him since I can't really ride him at
The moment because of snow etc. & a few tips on getting him to bow, I've been using the classic
'treat between the legs' technique, but is there any other way I could do it that he would respond more to?
Or do you have any tips in general? :)

Thank you!

I only know of the between the legs method also. Just be careful what you teach. I tried teaching my yearling (will be 2 in Feb) to carry things (ie, flags) in his mouth.... now he puts his mouth on EVERYTHING. And tries to pick up the barrels or cones in the arena. It WAS funny.... now it's annoying

You could try to teach him to give you a hug. Take a carrot in your right hand and hug him on HIS left side. Put the hand with the carrot behind your back and let him nibble some off it. Soon he'll realize that everytime you hug he gets a treat and eventually he will do it without the treat.

Could luck! I love this trick :)

Awww okay i'll try that :) & yeah dw i'll be careful what im teaching him. My cousin taught her pony to lift his leg up when she taps his shoulder, now he does it all the time & he actually kicked a car while doing it lol
