?to use 10SECOND rolkur or not to use 10SECOND rolkur?

I was thinking about how JDI explained the use of rolkur training in another post. I was wondering if using 10 second rolkur training with Blu would help to have a proper headset and maybe more controlled movement? Any comments? I was thinking about trying it out tomorrow when I go to work with my Boo....

I would not employ the Deep Flexion method (also known as Rollkur to those who don't agree with the method) until your horse can carry itself in a proper headset - I would ONLY use it with experienced horses to encourage further flexion.

I agree with JDI, she uses it BUT she understands how to use it correctly. Blu is way too green to be trying it - all it will do is force his head into an uncomfortable position.

Agreed. It's something you should only think about when both rider and horse are comfortable with the higher levels of dressage and the horse already knows how to carry himself.
