Vieanna Lunge Reins?

I bought a pair a while back when I drifted away from Parelli for a bit. But I really do want to give these a try.. even if it is a "no-no" lol So Im going to be connecting them to my saddle instead of the sircingle.

Advice on how to start them??? What I need to keep in mind???

Im doing this to get her nice and underneath her self and have some kinda of head set/collection. Because she's starting to get very strung out and I really don't like it. Lol. I tried using trot poles.. and it doesnt seem to keep a perminate reminder to use her hind so I hopeing these will help. Also will hopefully build up some back muscles that she really needs.

And to the parelli people - I've tried the pole/ barrel therapy instead of hill therapy because we don't have many hill I can get access to. But I will be using poles as well while using the lunge reins.

Thanks for any replies.
