I don't care if you're in Timbucktoo, you advertise you are taking on a free training horse, you will have people beating down your doorstep!

I agree! Any rescue will be awesome, but as you said it's a long drive. Waresbear has a good idea too! Just put an add up saying you want to train horses (start for free, since you don't have a name for yourself yet) Just saying you want hands on work with horses for experience.

Or you could ask a trainer if you could work or volunteer your time to help them.

Interesting that you feel that you have taken ONE horse as far as it can go and that is the end.

Some top riders/trainers would never make that presumption.

The most AFFORDABLE thing you can do is work with what you have.

I know that if I were looking for a person as a rider/trainer I would ONLY look at someone that is working at the highest levels not someone that has ridden multiple horses only half way..

I feel as if there is nothing more to teach my horse as he already does pirouttes, flying changes, leg yielding, half pass, jumping and everything. He gets placed practically everytime we compete and has been in 3 championships this month. He's not going to go burghley eventing or anything because he doesn't have the scope to do so. Hence why I am trying to get something new to train. I love the experience and working with horses. I think the advertisements a good idea. Thanks =]
