We rode double!!!
Today, my daughter and I rode Citrus bareback for the first time. I have had my daughter and my little cousin on him for less than a minute so this was the first time the two of us did it. Our gentle guy was unaffected. He sniffed both of our boots on each side and then gave us some licks. We walked around and around the arena, did figure eights, pivots, backing and onto the bridge. He was his normal self- kind and willing.
We did not stay on but 20 minutes. I was worried about hurting his back. My barn owner said that as long as the horse is tame enough, it is okay to do often. I trust him and would like to hear what anyone else thinks. We rode bareback and will probably get a bareback pad to protect our backsides.
