We rode double!!!

Today, my daughter and I rode Citrus bareback for the first time. I have had my daughter and my little cousin on him for less than a minute so this was the first time the two of us did it. Our gentle guy was unaffected. He sniffed both of our boots on each side and then gave us some licks. We walked around and around the arena, did figure eights, pivots, backing and onto the bridge. He was his normal self- kind and willing.

We did not stay on but 20 minutes. I was worried about hurting his back. My barn owner said that as long as the horse is tame enough, it is okay to do often. I trust him and would like to hear what anyone else thinks. We rode bareback and will probably get a bareback pad to protect our backsides.

So fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I shouldn't be a problem as long as you two combined aren't more weight then he can handle. Also, all you did was walk. If you tried to jog, it may get a little tougher for him with two people on his back moving around, but it certainly won't hurt him.

The two of us weigh about 180 together.... I figure that is like me plus a saddle or a regular sized man :)

Sounds really cool! The first time I did that with my horse was with my little sister. Sugar didn't even blink once she just acted like this happened everyday :)
