Im kinda considering starting them...my horse is already trained and stuff but I heard it REALLY pays off (always room for improvement) and REALLY strengthens the bond between you and your horse. If any of you guys no anyone that has had a successful outcome from this or you personally have please say so...by the way I was just wondering about the porcupine game...if you train your horse to move away that easily from your touch wouldnt they start to move even if you started petting them or something? I mean im sure they don't or else ppl wouldnt use it but do you no how that works? The other thing is that I have no idea where I can do this b/c the barn im at has a round pen and arena that is ALWAYS occupied, pastures with other horses and plus...call me stupid but most ppl at my barn do not beleve in this...i no I shouldnt care but its annoying when I get those "Looks" so if you guys have any advice please post! Thank you so much!!! :)
ok well my friend recently got a mustang but he is really young and seems so tame but we were watching him and her other horse and they were literally doing like 3 of the parrelli horse games it was amazing and so if two horses do it it should definantly inprove your relationship it has helped with me and my horse vastly

I completely agree with wild_spot. You do not need to buy all these special stuff to build a relation with your horse and make it a partner. Frankly, I found Parelli games to be very boring to watch (I've seen both DVDs and Parelli instructors at the Expo) and have no courage what so ever to do them with either of my horses. It's way better to find a GOOD trainer in area and ask to work with you and your horse (whether it's on ground or in saddle).
