    Absolutely Rod! Reining is pretty much western dressage on a breed with a different build and different different action to their gaits. They share many of the same virtues.

    I love this video, it's pretty cool.

    "Superiority" may have been a poor choice of words (LOL) and certainly no offense was meant by it.

    As for not knowing anything about it, as I said previously, a Western trainer would certainly know a half-halt, they just may not be aware of the term. I would almost bet that it's something you do quite often just in the course of riding.
