Ok, I have a dilemma of sorts......(really in the whole scheme of life not a biggy!)
I'm vertically challenged, and my horse is not....his big in proportion to me!
When I'm riding I always always try to keep my hands low in front do the saddle horn.....however I'm having a hard time doing this, not because I'm learning or because I forget, because when I do it I'm so stretched out it makes my shoulders round and I end up leaning forward! I've been getting a sore back riding lately and now I think I know why! I happened to get two seconds of video and saw my position.....YIKES!!!!
I always hear and read that hands should be low low low and in front of the saddle horn......
If you cannot physically keep your hands low like that, is it acceptable to ride with your hands just above and perhaps slightly behind the saddle horn?
My horse is super relaxed when my hands are real low....but it's torturous for me!
This is actually the first time I've had this issue......must be the big horse, short arms syndrome.....
