Okay, so I was having a hard time explaining what my horse was doing when I lunge her, she didn't do it the first time but the past two times this is very very similar to what she does..........THIS VIDEO IS NOT MY HORSE but like I said this is almost exactly what she does.....She is new to me and I have only had her in the round pen 4 times. Is she doing this just because she is in a new environment/excited/nervous/checking things out? I find it kinda silly/goofy. I start ground work lessons soon and I'm sure my instructor will know exactly whats going on, just thought I would ask on here to see what everyone thinks!!!

looks to me like the horse is just running and having fun, it looks a little like hopping when the horse was balancing itself around the pen :) good luck with your lessons, a new horse is always fun!!

My arab used to do the same thing, but it was accompanied with lots of snorting! You're horse is just having fun. I used to call it his bunny canter

The giveaway that this is just excited/happy/really energetic is the tail in the air like that. Perfectly normal. :)
