What's pole bending????

I was reading this sport somewhere and it didn't give me much information, but could someone explain it to me. It would really help a lot!! =)

A horse can teach a girl courage, if she chooses to grab mane and hang on for dear life.

it is a timed event. Where horse and rider run a weaving pattern through 6 poles.

Yep, she's not really hitting the horse with anything from the looks of it.

She does do the annoying kick-so-hard-your-butt-comes-out-of-the-saddle that I hate. But overall she kept out of the horses way and it was a good ride.

But my point was it showed what pole bending is :P

yeah, I didn't like the kicking in that video. If I were that horse I'd buck her off. - My horsey and I only trot pole-bending,.. and maybe canter that last stretch. I'm not into speed events.
