I used to do that with my mare... pole bending and barrels were our thing.. she'd turn on a dime and give ya nine cents change!!

I miss my Bunn Bunn.. :((

I'm with you. I only trot the poles. I'm way too scared to do it full speed. Although I did have a nice surprise last time I did this event. I took one of the poles really sharp to save some time and my horse took off on me and ran through the rest like she had been doing it her whole life. I get surprises about her previous training all the time like this. Scared the heck out of me though cause I was only riding her bareback and not easy to stay on her because she is so narrow.

I agree with everyone else though. There is no need to kick your horse that much or that hard. A bit excessive for my taste.
