I don't have a routine other than walk for 10 minutes on a loose rein. From there I let my horse tell what we're working on that day. Some days he's stiff as a board, so we do lateral and suppling exercises. Some days he's dull to the aids, to we work on going forward. If there's extra gas in the tank, then we do something fun like canter/trot/canter transitions or lead changes. The other day we were both in a goof off mode, so we went into the woods and did some trail riding.

For me, it depends on the day. I ride 4-5 times a week, and I only jump every 8-14 days. I always start out with 10 minutes or so of walking on a long rein, then trotting on a long rein and a canter on a long rein. We are working on getting cutter to relax bc he likes to hold his head in the air and run.

Sometimes we work on flying lead changes, sometimes suppleness and collection, sometimes transitions, ground poles, stuff like that.
I also trained cutter to respond to voice commands, "walk" "trot" "canter" "whoa" "easy".
He responds very very well to all of those, so much that leg is not needed at all.
